starbucks logo redesign

I know I'm a little late with this post, because apparently the information became available in early January, but I just learned that Starbucks is redesigning their logo.

Personally, I think this new logo is great - it's simple and fresh. Besides, no one needs the text to know that this logo belongs to Starbucks. They were smart enough not to throw away the logo they've been known for for 40 years, they just made it more contemporary.

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. While school's not in session, I'm continuing to work on a few design projects, including my family's Christmas card. I'm finally able to post it, since they've all been mailed.
